What is Carbon Choice?
Carbon choice is a transparent online marketplace and community that brings together carbon conscious customers and products. Our platform gives customers the necessary information to filter products by carbon emissions as well as price and category. This allows you to make carbon conscious decisions and choose low carbon and sustainable products.
As well as this, every product bought on Carbon Choice is offset via carbon reduction programmes so you and the sellers can shop relatively guilt free! Carbon Offsetting isn't the answer to everything, but if we can see our impact and make a difference, then this can only be positive.
Carbon Choice's Product Carbon Footprint Calculator uses the UK Government Conversion Factors for greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting where appropriate and follows a methodology in accordance with internationally recognised standard such as PAS2050, GHG Product Standard and ISO14067 to estimate the life cycle assessment (cradle to grave) carbon footprint of products that appear on site. This measures the total greenhouse gas emissions from the extraction of raw materials through to the product’s manufacture, distribution, use and eventual disposal. We believe this level of transparency is lacking online. Carbon Choice works with all the sellers you see on site to ensure the carbon footprints you see are as accurate as can be.
